Panic Attack

A stop motion video, this is my favorite project I’ve created. Inspired by It’s Such a Beautiful Day and The Fallout, I wanted to create a visual representation of a panic/anxiety attack. I’ve always found it difficult to describe what intense anxiety feels like, most people have only felt it in brief moments or under the guise of adrenaline. So, selfishly, this project is a way for me to no longer verbalize what I feel almost daily.

Filmed with Canon EOS Rebel 6i. Edited with Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Audition.

Calm Down

A group project, “Calm Down” is an extension of “Panic Attack” and was created by me and two classmates. Inspired by the colors of Inside Out and our own collective experiences, this was written as a way for all of us to showcase our individual turmoils. I wrote part of the screenplay, produced and edited the film.

Edited with Adobe Premiere Pro.

Tea Party

As part of the Video Team for The Collective, my Universities first fashion magazine, I created this short behind-the-scenes film. The shoot, inspired by the Alice and Wonderland tea party scene, was incredibly fun and wickedly cold.

Filmed with Canon EOS Rebel 6i. Edited with Adobe Premiere Pro.

GiveJobs

As an Intern for an online job services company called GiveJobs, I created a promotional video for the social media accounts during the pandemic. I used stock footage and overlaid my voice reading a script I wrote.

Edited with Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Audition.

Rock N Roll America

A passion project I worked on with my father. We conceptualized the video together to mirror his original song and spent two days in the mountains filming. The visuals are a collection of my own and stock footage.

Filmed with a Sony camera. Edited with Adobe Premiere Pro.

Believer by Imagine Dragons

The next five pieces are a collection of videos edited by me with footage given in an editing course I completed at Appalachian State University. This first video is a remake of the music video Believer. The most challenging thing I’ve ever edited, it took me multiple weeks as I was given hours of footage and extensive B-roll. I learned how to edit Multi-Camera sequences with a feed of 8 cameras and I gained an in-depth knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro.

Star Wars Promo

For this project, I took interviews from six people who worked on The Mandalorian - from actor Pedro Pascal to writer and producer Jon Favreau - to create a promotional video. The goal was to intertwine their words to create a new storyline that was educational, entertaining, and cohesive for the audience. I enjoyed this editing process, as it felt similar to putting together a puzzle, not to mention I was working with some of the most exclusive, unique footage I’ve ever been given access to.

Vincero Watches

Edits only by me. This was my first time using Adobe After Effects and not Premiere for graphics. A great learning experience.

Continuity Editing

My first project with continuity editing. The goal was to find the shots that were cohesive without any jump cuts or mismatched timing and piece them together. The goal with continuity editing is to pull focus away from the editing and onto the storyline.

Continuity Editing 2

This project reinforced my understanding of how to seamlessly edit dialogue with multiple camera angles to maintain continuity between shots.
